Bad JuJu

I'm starting to understand the appeal of the digital darkroom. One of the things I like about this shot is that macro photography allows me to make a mini backdrop using items from my pocket.

Money Tree

Week 7 wasn't a very productive week as far as photography goes. This was my only photo this week. I liked the shadow on the leaves, but the sun moves faster than I would have expected. A minute later, the light had moved on.

Crab Apples

I was working on depth of field with this set up, which wasn't working the way I wanted. So I switched to a diagonal shot. Much better. Take my word for it. ;-)

Fan Fare

This was more of an experiment with shutter speed, than anything else. A show shutter speed blurs a moving object while a fast shutter speed freezes the motion. Posting these photos reminds me of this handy lesson.

Cave of Fire

Another photograph with my wood burning stove as subject. This time, it's the coals that caught my eye. Don't try this at home, kids! The camera lens was toasty by the time I finished.
